Ecosystems/TreeHabitatSuitability_USFS_ForestEcosystemAtlas (ImageServer)

View In:   ArcGIS JavaScript   ArcGIS Online Map Viewer   ArcGIS Earth

Service Description:

Modeled habitat suitability for 125 tree species in the eastern United States under current (1981-2010) climate conditions and projected future conditions (2070-2099) created using a statistical modeling approach that correlates mean importance values to 45 environmental data layers. This data set includes 148 tree species represented by a hybrid lattice of 10 and 20 km grids that provides information on relative abundance (i.e., importance values), derived from tree basal area and number of stems, for the species according to USDA Forest Service Forest Inventory and Analysis data (2001-2016), and modeled for 125 species under current conditions and for eight future scenarios.
