Service Description: This data layer provides information on harvest and silvicultural activities tracked in the Watershed Improvement Tracking (WIT) database. WIT is an activity tracking system that records, tracks, and monitors activities associated with watershed and aquatic ecosystem health and function (WIT). The database was queried to produce a harvest and silviculture activities (2001-2021) layer.
Harvest and silviculture activities were identified in consultation with subject matter experts on each category of WIT codes. The following activities were included in this category: Aspen Restoration','Harvest','Inter-planting','InvasiveSpeciesMgmt-TerPlant','Midstory Removal','Native Plant Restoration','Native Plant Treatment','Overstory Removal','Planting','Pruning','Revegetation','Seeding','Site Preparation','Stand Clearcut','Thinning','Thinning - Commercial','Thinning - Pre-commercial','Tree Release'
