When services crash unexpectedly, error reports may be created and made available to download from ArcGIS Enterprise Manager. These reports can be used when working with Esri Technical Support to troubleshoot related issues.
Error reports have associated logs at the Warning log level. You can download error reports from the Logs page or from the page of the service that crashed.
Download reports
To download error reports, sign in to ArcGIS Enterprise Manager as an administrator and do one of the following:
- Click the Logs button in the sidebar, click Download, and click Error reports. Click the Download button
next to the desired report.
- Click the Logs button in the sidebar, locate the log message associated with the error report you want to download, and click the Download button

- Click the Services button in the sidebar, locate the service that crashed, and click Download error report. Click the Download button
next to the desired report.
Specify the number of reports stored
You can specify the number of error reports that are stored by your organization at any given time. Older reports will be deleted when new reports are generated to match the value you specify. You will still see the associated log message of deleted error reports, though you will be unable to download the reports.
Complete the following steps:
- Sign in to ArcGIS Enterprise Manager as an administrator.
- Click the Logs button on the sidebar.
- Click Settings.
- Specify the number of reports you want stored in the Maximum error report count field.
The default value is 10 and the maximum is 999.
- Click Save.
